Who we are

Grace Christian Learning Center, Inc. is a Christian child care center with locations in Troy, Michigan and Traverse City, Michigan (5625 Gray Road, Traverse City, MI 49684). In this policy, “we” and “us” mean Grace Christian Learning Center, Inc.

Who we text and why

We send text messages only to our own employees and to job applicants who have given us their mobile phone number. The messages are for work and hiring communication, such as:

• schedule, attendance and sign-in questions (for example, “Did you sign in today?”);
• requests to come in or to call us;
• payroll, paperwork and onboarding reminders;
• replies about job applications and interviews.

We do not send advertising or promotional texts, and we do not text families, parents or the general public with this number.

How we get your phone number and your consent

You give us your mobile number yourself, on your employment application, hiring or onboarding paperwork, or by contacting us. By giving us your number you agree that we may text you about your employment or application at that number. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of any purchase.

Message frequency, cost, opting out and help

• Message frequency varies with your work needs; most people receive only a few messages a month.
• Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan.
• To stop receiving texts, reply STOP at any time. You will receive a confirmation and no further texts.
• For help, reply HELP or call us at 231-463-6340.
• Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Privacy: what we collect and how we use it

We collect your name, mobile phone number and email address, and the contents of the messages we exchange, so that we can manage employment and staffing. We keep a record of text conversations for our business records.

We do not sell, rent or share your mobile phone number or text messaging opt-in information with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We share information only with service providers that help us deliver text messages and run payroll and hiring (for example, our messaging provider Twilio and our payroll provider), and where the law requires it. Those providers may use your information only to provide their services to us.

We protect this information with reasonable safeguards and keep it only as long as needed for employment and legal record-keeping.
